Create a POEDITOR feature to integrate into live-apps to enable users to suggest a translation for any string & send it to the dashboard.
Create a POEDITOR feature that developers could optionally integrate into their live-apps which would allow app-users to suggest a translation for any string in the app and send it to the dashboard for review/approval.
This "Suggest translation"-feature could be activated via app settings, or via shake, etc...
When "Suggest translation" mode is active, editable strings get highlighted/underlined and the user can EG. triple-tap any highlighter/underlined string on the screen to select it and suggest a translation/correction in any available language (selectable from a list.) (selections are modifiable, but are saved and set as default for that user/device)
The user can then "send" the suggestion directly to POEDITOR from inside the app.
At "send" the user will get a "Thank you. Your suggestion will be reviewed." message of some sort.
Once it has been sent, the suggestion for the specific string becomes available for review/approval in the POEDITOR dashboard, at the right string in the right language.
(In the dashboard, the string overview should best be filterable/sortable by 'pending' user suggestions. Multiple suggestions can be pending for a single string/language.)
From inside the dashboard, an admin can then edit, accept, or file the suggestion for later on management, or assign this task to someone by notifying them + text option.
If a suggestion is accepted, the user should get a configurable "Thank you notification" of some sort.
If willing to take it a step further, then a successfully contributing user could become listed as a "contributor" + "his/her contribution amount EG via "bronze/silver/gold badge or whatever" in some page inside the live app, if app developers like to integrate an optional 'translation contributors hall of fame' screen. This to stimulate contributions and gratify user-engagement.
This way the app-users can positively contribute to translations while their app-engagement is emotionally rewarded + magnified.
Overall, it will offer a "win-win" opportunity to all involved parties:
1. App-useability / perceived app-quality improves
2. App-user satisfaction improves due to successful app optimization + personal recognition for the contributions thereto
3. App-brand image improves
4. POEDITOR-brand gets featured in the app
5. App-brand & POEDITOR-brand get "word of mouth-publicity" + positive emotional connotation if the user shows his/her achievement(s) & talks about his/her experience/the entire process to others.
6. POEDITOR offers app user & developer centered added value this way.
For POEDITOR, such added value offers an additional "unique selling point".
Integrating such functionality will make crowd-sourced translations more "direct" and more "easily accessible" for app users.
Making contributions possible from inside the app on a mobile device during a user-session supports both the app users and the customer base of POEDITOR. Such feature offers the customers of POEDITOR (developers) the option to reduce translation costs and increase quality control in an integrated manner, meanwhile boosting user-engagement.
Such feature also empowers any app user to quickly contribute with a translation suggestion, with less of a hassle.
7. For developers, it would also be a good way to allow beta-testers and power-users to contribute to optimizing default machine translations in an engaging manner if this feature would be only accessible during alpha/beta releases to a select group of dedicated testers, for example.

Sounds really cool but not appropriate for poeditor to implement - they already have an API
