  1. Allowing to change the terms display to tree view is crucial when working in JSON (key, value) format with depth levels.
When adding new term, context tags are nice but navigating to your wanted node in a tree view, will be much more effective and will reflect the actual output json file.

Beyond that manually writing context for each term can lead to unwanted mistakes.

    Thanks

  2. When you flag items as "Proofread" the count in the dropdown box at the top is not updated unless you leave the page and come back or refresh the page.

(I think that's the case with other flag fields too)

That could easily get out of hand.

  5. I'd like to see a Mattermost integration (Mattermost is basically like Slack, but open source). Mattermost accepts the same message format as Slack.

    https://docs.mattermost.com/developer/webhooks-incoming.html

I suppose the Mattermost integration would be essentially the same as your current Slack integration, but with a custom URL for the webhook.

  6. When translating in productivity mode there is no ability to add a comment (as there is in non-productivity mode).

Would be a helpful addition to add that button.

    Thanks in advance.

  7. Right now I always go back and look for a string and count how many translations were added. When it's at 11 (because we only support 11 languages at the moment) I know I can use it. It would be nice if I could get a notification when all 11 languages have been filled in.

  9. I am using this interface for the first time. I'm left wondering what certain things mean. For instance "fuzzy". I don't see a tooltip that explains what this means. I also can't easily find a terms reference page.

  10. Terms tend to be repeated by developers, and were translated by different people in different countries with different preferences, so if you allow alphabetic sort of terms (both original and translated), then translation quality will be improved after a simple revision

  11. 200% of the length of the original string is an arbitrary number to warn of longer translations.

This idea incorporates two feature requests:
    1. A global setting per project to modify the warning length for translations. e.g. set the warning to be '130%' of the original term length.
    2. Allow a per term override of the 200% warning with a 6th field in CSV files called 'charlimit'. This would override the 200% limit with a custom value.

e.g. term, translation, content, reference, comment, charlimit

Term = 'Choose the correct answer.'
    Translation = ''
Context = 'This is an instruction for…

  14. We use comments quite extensively.
For example: we write down in the comments on which URL you can find the string that needs translation.

It would be extremely helpful if the search box in the upper right corner not only searches within the string & the translation, but also in the comment.

(If you agree with me, please VOTE on this feature request so that we can make this happen!)

  15. Hi POEditor,
When selecting all Untranslated strings, the text boxes where you have to fill in your translation are not always visible on all displays.
Some displays in our office (and outside our office as well) are not of fantastic quality; you can easily overlook the text boxes in that case...
Maybe you can add some more contrast between the box and the background?

  20. For https://github.com/commons-app/apps-android-commons , there are two message files per language.

    https://github.com/commons-app/apps-android-commons/tree/master/app/src/main/res/values
    error.xml
    strings.xml

When I export the translations, all messages are being exported to the error.xml file, and all messages are being exported to the strings.xml.
