Plurals
In Turkish we use same words for both singular and plural expressions.
So I use "Plural-Forms: nplurals=1; plural=0;\n" in file (for Poedit).
When I import terms, POEditor gets singular expressions but leaves plurals as blank and shows those strings as untranslated.
Checking the language's plural form while importing could be useful.

Mark all languages fuzzy for a given term
If I update a term in my reference language I would like to be able to mark all other languages as fuzzy for that term to know what needs to be changed.
4 votesMarking strings as fuzzy in other languages when a string in the Default Reference Language is changed can be done in multiple ways, described here: https://poeditor.com/kb/how-to-keep-track-of-strings-changed-in-the-default-reference-language

Why would i need a branch when connecting a project to gitlab ?
The whole process of binding a project to a gitlab repository is confusing :
- why do i need a branch ? why the master is not good ?
- why do i need a whole repo for one language only ? and then do the whole routine for each of the 20 langages i'm trying to support for this one project ?1 vote -
Failure
I can not work in the editor:

What can I do?
Best regards,

Git branch name containing '.' character returns "File not found"
Hi. Encountered an issue with using webhooks via GitLab. Had a Git branch with a name of the form "Rnn.n.n" (minus the quotes). Used GitLab Test button to test the webhook. Everytime POEditor reported "File not found". This took a while to determine that POEditor doesn't like branch names containing the '.' character. When we changed the branch to a name without any '.' characters it worked fine. Would have saved an awful lot of time if the error message was more specific (e.g. stating "Illegal/unsupported character encountered in branch name"). However, if the character is legal in Git, POEditor…

Changes on existing strings in the reference language
Hi there,
Great platform! I have a quick question regarding a functionality that I cannot seem to find. If I modify a string in the reference language, and that string had had a translation done in other languages prior to the modification, there is no flag showing that the other languages should be updated after the modification. Please let me know if I'm missing something. Thanks!

3 votesWe’ve added another option to mark strings as fuzzy in other languages when a string in the Default Reference Language is changed.
The option is available in the settings of any project which has a DRL set. You can see it if you click on Edit Project Details, and it applies to both to the case when a user edits a translation in the language page of the DRL, as well as when a user edits the DRL string in the Terms page.

VSTS integration
It would be great if POEditor would be integrated with Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS). We have our code on VSTS git repository.

Slack integration: add setting to select which kinds of events generate a notification
At the moment, the Slack integration sends a notification when:
- a project is added/deleted
- a language is added/deleted/completely translated
- translations are flushed
- strings are imported
- a comment is added on a string
- an administrator/contributor is added/removed
- a contributor joins a public project
- the string limit for the account is reached
Please provide more flexibility by enabling us to switch off some of these notifications.
Our use case is that we are mainly interested by "strings are imported" events but these notifications get lost in the flood of "a comment is added on a string" notifications.16 votes -

API call to delete a project
There are API calls to delete terms and languages, but no API call to delete an entire project. I would like to be able to externally delete project definitions as well as just their guts.

New API call 'list_language_options'.
This would be a very simple-to-build API function which would return all the possible POEditor language codes and the name of that language. It would be used for customer-side picklists and display purposes which would automatically adjust as POE expands into new languages.
curl -X POST https://poeditor.com/api/ \
-d apitoken="61685b96a16c93ec30167a52a6cd579a" \
-d action="listlanguage_options" \
-d language="en"This example would return a list of all the POE-recognized language codes and their names in English (the -d language="en" parameter would be optional, and default to English). The response would be something like
{
"response": {
"status": "success",
"code": "200",
"message":…1 vote -
Local and/or "custom" languages
Include the option to enter your own language name, for less popular languages that don't show up in the drop-down menu, that you will be supporting with your own team of translators.

Readonly access through the API (creating readonly tokens)
We use the API and this includes automated tests running on the build server.
The problem is that the tests must have a token and this token gives access to it all - including destroying the language projects.
Therefore, in order to be compliant, we need to be able to create tokens which only gives readonly access to the projects.
Thank you.

Github and tags
Support importing files from github and tag the files with tag. We have translations in multiple files and need to tag fx "feedback.po" github file into "feedback" tag and "review.po" github file into "review" tag
1 voteIt’s now possible to set tags on terms on import and filter them on export with the GitHub integration (and Bitbucket and GitLab too).
