  1. It would be awesome to have support for publishing strings to Google Play dev console. https://developers.google.com/android-publisher/edits. However, I think the publishing should only happen after the administrator of the project approves it, because Google Play has very strict policies.

  5. I added a new Github integration file link (twice), and the link created was modified, so it's not correct. In addition to not matching the URLs of all the previously created file links, when I run a webhook based on the new file link, the webhook doesn't work.

Here's a screen capture showing the difference between older (and working) links and the new link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/10kNQ-bqMBh5K5hj0rHdKcTnOEn7loMB_/view?usp=sharing

Suggestion: Fix the bug, and ideally allow manual editing of the URL

Could you please clarify if we understood correctly: did you link a file to a language on POEditor, then change the path of the file in the repo, and after this ended up with a link that was no longer valid?

If you want, you can email us at info@poeditor.com to offer more details.

  7. Like transifex it should notify users that the word is saved.

Also there should be revision system (just like transifex)

  8. I am consistently looking for a string in the term view so I can see all of the languages in one place.

I'd love to be able to search by the actual UI text and not the developer terms to find terms.

  9. As the maintainer of a project, when I call the contributors listing API (POST /v2/contributors/list), I'd like to get also the number of times each contributors has translated a string in the project.

This can be useful for instance when creating our own contributors listing page, to order the contributors top down.

  10. As we have 1 API to get all the terms for one language and one project.

There should be some API available to get all the terms for multiple projects or multiple languages in one call. It might decrease the load on your servers alot.

It’s not currently possible to perform such a combined search.
You can search by term or by context only.
In your example btn si kept in the context and ok is the term.

  13. In an ongoing project a translator needs the possibility to sort by "last changes in reference language". The "fuzzy" flag isn't safe to rely on.
I'm a voluntary translator (of many) in a project, where the reference language is changed by different developers, and most of them only have the right to modify, but not to manage. And non of them is using the "fuzzy flag for other languages" since the day the main designer has left the project (who was the only one using that flag).
And currently the reference language is undergoing a maintenance cycle, some changes needs…

  14. I was under the impression that a 'string' was a single 'term' and that the 170 terms used in our app that included around 8 languages would be fine under the 'free' service so we could test this before uploading our common file. Can you confirm that I'm doing this right?

  16. When I import terms from a .pot file, POEditor detects obsolete terms. However, the report does not include the context so it is very difficult to find out which term is the obsolete/duplicate one.

Please add context information to the report.

  17. When I import a .pot file, POEditor reports 125 obsolete terms even if the terms are in .pot file.

For example, the .POT file contains:

    msgid "TopicArea|Fa icon"
    msgstr ""

Still POEditor reports the term as obsolete every time we import the file.

If you added your source language to POEditor and linked it to your source file on Bitbucket, you need to first use ‘Get terms’ to import the keys/string ids (as it sounds like you already did) and then ‘Import translations from’ to get the values.

    https://poeditor.com/kb/localization-file-management-with-github-bitbucket-and-gitlab-integrations

After importing the values, go to the project’s settings and set your source language as Default Reference Language, and it will be displayed in your target languages.

    https://poeditor.com/kb/setting-a-default-reference-language

  19. Create a POEDITOR feature that developers could optionally integrate into their live-apps which would allow app-users to suggest a translation for any string in the app and send it to the dashboard for review/approval.

This "Suggest translation"-feature could be activated via app settings, or via shake, etc...

When "Suggest translation" mode is active, editable strings get highlighted/underlined and the user can EG. triple-tap any highlighter/underlined string on the screen to select it and suggest a translation/correction in any available language (selectable from a list.) (selections are modifiable, but are saved and set as default for that user/device)

    The user can…

  20. Hey, when I link a file to make a po-export via github link and then later on decide I also want to export an mo-file, it is quite labor intensive to make the change. It would be good if one could change the mo-export setting.
