  1. We have translations to languages that are not present in interface, for instance Bangla (Bangladesh) and currently I don't see option like "Other" so we can have some languages you are not supporting out of the box.

  2. When you flag items as "Proofread" the count in the dropdown box at the top is not updated unless you leave the page and come back or refresh the page.

(I think that's the case with other flag fields too)

  3. Contributors should not be allowed to add new projects (at least by default).

That could easily get out of hand.

  4. Screenshots should be separate from comments.

We should be able to upload an annotated screenshot for reference from several terms.

For each term, we should have the option to specify a screenshot from the ones we've uploaded and add a line of text in case we want to refer to an annotation number on the screenshot.

This would then be better as the users could see the reference in context.

We would no longer have to host and maintain our images elsewhere.

We would not have to use the Comments field which sends emails to all our users every time…

  6. Tagging process is too annoying at this time.

    Current workflow:

    1. Add Term
    2. Click Save
    3. Go to last page
    4. Select recently added terms
    5. Add tags

    Improvements:

    1. Add Term
    2. Input tags
    3. Save

  7. If I have a project Android and a project IOS, I would like to have the same translations between projets but Ids are differents. So the idea is to have for one term an id (which can be the term) for each project.

  9. It would be a nice feature if it was possible to write our own messages when exporting files to Github, Bitbucket or GitLab.
At the moment each export is labeled as „Update xxx (POEditor.com)“.

  10. When translating in productivity mode there is no ability to add a comment (as there is in non-productivity mode).

Would be a helpful addition to add that button.

    Thanks in advance.

  11. Right now I always go back and look for a string and count how many translations were added. When it's at 11 (because we only support 11 languages at the moment) I know I can use it. It would be nice if I could get a notification when all 11 languages have been filled in.

  12. Allowing to change the terms display to tree view is crucial when working in JSON (key, value) format with depth levels.
When adding new term, context tags are nice but navigating to your wanted node in a tree view, will be much more effective and will reflect the actual output json file.

Beyond that manually writing context for each term can lead to unwanted mistakes.

    Thanks

  14. Comments and context are very useful for translators, but I don't need to have them in my project. I think there should be an option during exporting to add or omit comments and context in the exported files.

  15. I am using this interface for the first time. I'm left wondering what certain things mean. For instance "fuzzy". I don't see a tooltip that explains what this means. I also can't easily find a terms reference page.

  16. Terms tend to be repeated by developers, and were translated by different people in different countries with different preferences, so if you allow alphabetic sort of terms (both original and translated), then translation quality will be improved after a simple revision

  17. Hi,

I miss the option to switch language of the POEditor frontend, so that the tool can be used in other languages than English.
Is this possible? Because I cannot find the setting for that.

  18. I'd like to see a Mattermost integration (Mattermost is basically like Slack, but open source). Mattermost accepts the same message format as Slack.

    https://docs.mattermost.com/developer/webhooks-incoming.html

I suppose the Mattermost integration would be essentially the same as your current Slack integration, but with a custom URL for the webhook.

  19. When having for example special characters in a string "Cast & Crew", the exported string on iOS is ok, but when comes to Android the code is uncompilable(lint error).

When having special characters on android and do an export & must be replaced with &

Is it a way to export the special string to android in such way?

  20. 200% of the length of the original string is an arbitrary number to warn of longer translations.

This idea incorporates two feature requests:
    1. A global setting per project to modify the warning length for translations. e.g. set the warning to be '130%' of the original term length.
    2. Allow a per term override of the 200% warning with a 6th field in CSV files called 'charlimit'. This would override the 200% limit with a custom value.

e.g. term, translation, content, reference, comment, charlimit

Term = 'Choose the correct answer.'
    Translation = ''
Context = 'This is an instruction for…
