  1. I think you should have a lower pricing model for the longer term. Our company would perhaps use this software in the long term, but we're only going to be in active development/translation for the next few weeks. We'll revisit now and then as we add more languages, but the monthly pricing gets a little steep for us to retain the service on an ongoing basis, considering we won't use it for in months.

  2. Hi, instead of having the button at the bottom part of the terms, it will be great to have it in the top part, that way you don't have to scroll every time you want to add a term. Thank you!

  3. While exporting to key-value json format, plurals are getting ignored.
Shouldn't it be array of string values in case of plurals

msgid: ["value"] or "value" incase of singular
msgid: ["value1", "value2", "value3"] incase of plural (one, few and others)

  4. I think it would make sense to go the step towards universal usability and add the option to add languages that are identified by their code according to ISO 639-3. (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_639-3). You still can restrict automatic translations etc. to more common ones.
    Thanks!

  5. It would be useful if I could (before exporting, or in a separate menu) make a quick check for a language and receive a warning if:
    - the original starts or ends with a space, and the translation doesn't (or vice versa)
    - the original starts or ends with a line break, and the translation doesn't (or vice versa)
    - the number of placeholders (% signs, %s) is different in the original than in the translation
The filter would then show the phrases that have issues.

  6. Hi !

I'm using auto import from gitlab to POEditor from multiple files with tags to identify them.
When I'm exporting back to gitlab I've got plenty of commit messages on master and I can't check in a proper MR if all is set correctly.
It will be very nice if the export feature create a branch on the fly from master.

    Thank you !

  7. When you manages multiple projects, but they are related, we miss some method that let us review the status of all of them in one language.

For example: choose french and see every project the % in this language. Some like a filter by language.

  8. When having for example special characters in a string "Cast & Crew", the exported string on iOS is ok, but when comes to Android the code is uncompilable(lint error).

When having special characters on android and do an export & must be replaced with &

Is it a way to export the special string to android in such way?

  10. Hi, are you planning add a new format for Apple after they come up with new iOS 17 (September 2023)?

So we can use new "String Catalogue" for our future translations, where are 3 columns (key + original language + final language)?
Or any other solution/idea for this new format of coding so contributors can see more than just key?

    Thank You

  11. One of the translators for our application has asked whether it is possible to use multiple reference languages at once. This would be useful to, for example, look at both the English original and the German translation in order to create the Italian version.

Cross-referencing with other translations makes it easier to enhance one's own understanding, and having original and other translations side by side makes this convenient. It might be useful to still highlight the original (project's Default Reference Language) to establish a hierarchy of authority in case there are deviations.

Our suggestion would be to allow viewing multiple…

  13. It would be much easier to script the translation export if the export api directly responded with the translation requested rather than a url. I'd love to be able to make a single api call with curl to specify the file and language, and not have to mess with parsing the response.

  17. We are using context field to make it easier for trasnlator to make translations. Best is to give them screenshot with english text so they can see how it is used and where. So our context-term unique keys are not working anway and we don't care much about duplicates. we can handle this in other way. What we are missing is POEditor not showing links in context as clickable links which makes it very difficult to open link.
As Brian suggested we are now using commnets for this. But this is somewhat hidden. Other solution could be to improve its…

  19. Platforms such as HumHub or Yii framework apps use the PHP format to translate content but POEditor doesn't support this yet, so I'd like to request that this feature be added as soon as possible. :)
