namespace support
make it possible to assign namespaces to an import such that the same translation keys coming from different imports/source files do not collide but can coexist with different translations; tagging is not a solution to this problem since it keeps one translation key and simply adds several tags to the translation key but it does not allow for keeping different translations based on the tags; so tags are no replacement or equivalent for namesapces

Bulk QA
I would like a way to run QA checks for all translations across all languages. My project is just a hobby and I'm the only administrator for over 1000 translations. It is very hard to ensure that the contributors, who are often inexperienced, get quotes and ellipses right. I can correct them manually but that means I have to run QA for each language to find the issues.

Bug: order of terms in .po file is not respected
Hi, I just noticed a bug with .po file import/export, which is related to the order of terms in the file.
POEditor does not keep the order of terms in the original .po file after import, and shows them in a different order. As a result, when the file gets exported back to the repo, all the terms there are messed up, which causes a huge diff and A LOT of merge conflicts when trying to integrate the file exported from POEditor back into our project.
It does not help exporting with A-Z sorting rule, as this is still not…

Reimporting term should overwrite all categories and not create a duplicate term
When reimporting terms/translations/context with updates, if there is a change in context - POEditor will duplicate the term and create a fresh entry rather than overwriting all categories being imported. This make mass updating of context impossible.
3 votesKindly note that the uniqueness of a term is given by the term-context pair: https://poeditor.com/kb/duplicate-terms
Therefore, if you import the same term with a different context via the UI, a new term will be created.
However, if you want to update the context of an existing term in your project, you can use the API with this method: https://poeditor.com/docs/api#terms_update

Export and import the Traditional Chinese language file, The content has been missing
I am providing translation for Traditional Chinese (zh-TW).
I exported the CSV file (I also tried XlSX, JSON, PO, ...), edited it with VSCode or Microsoft Excel, and then import it in poeditor.
But after the import, a lot of entries were lost. They all became empty values.
I tried re-import or use a different file format but it still didn't work. - Even if I import the original exported file, the content still became empty.
Even if I choose to re-save in UTF-8 or UTF-8 with BOM,GBK to UTF-8, Big5 to UTF-8 etc., it still doesn't work

Bulk file renaming
It would be great to have the files exported as enEN or en-EN (option) with another option to be able to prefix it or not with the project name. For Wordpress projects it needs to come down as enEN so at the moment we have to rename every file :(

Free plan limit is confusing
It says I reached the limit for my free plan, but I only have 586 terms in my project. Limit counts total terms + total translations, but I would understand limit is 1000 terms max without translations. I found this confusing.

Github export not including .mo file
Hi,
I've linked a .po file with GitHub with a checkmark set in "Also get a .mo file with the same filename on export.".
However, when I export the .po file, no .mo file is included in the resulting commit. Seems like a bug?
Best regards,

Restrict possibility of contributor to delete all translations
Title says it all. It's way too easy to delete all translations accidentally (or on purpose) as contributor. This could be avoided by eg. adding a setting to restrict it to administrators only.

Support github organisation teams
We already build teams and roles in Github, so it is problematic to then rebuild this information in POEditor and keep it up to date.
It would be nice to have team support in POEditor
(https://poeditor.uservoice.com/forums/171919-general/suggestions/3663140-group-contributors-into-teams), but I would also be happy to allow all users in a github team to automatically be given access to all translation languages, or let them choose their own languages.2 votes -
Translation of POEditor
Hi,
I miss the option to switch language of the POEditor frontend, so that the tool can be used in other languages than English.
Is this possible? Because I cannot find the setting for that.2 votes
