  1. Quite often, in the development process, developers put the localizable strings within the code (resource files, I18n lib, etc).
    Very often, developers make typo, gramatical, semantic errors. Even if the strings are provided ;o)

    Don't you think it could be valuable to upload those strings within a 'neutral' locale as the reference language ?
    Then, if default language is 'en', you add an 'en' locale in order to correct things.

    Another feature is that the neutral locale is the source of thruth of what is really used within the app.
    The 'neutral' locale should be readonly and only updated by…

  6. Now I just have to choose random language for other Dutch, e.g. Bislama

    Should have option to add language name manually (ant then connect to some auto translate lang. if needed).

  8. It's a bug: using Google for the automatic translation from English to French, the resulting strings are not a translation but the string identifier. For instance:

    Identifier: signing.form.submit
    English string: Sign in
    Translated string: signing.form.submit

    Can you fix this please?
    Thanks

  9. Retrieve gettext from php file in Wordpress. Get all strings based on themedomain. This will help the user to skip the step with poedit to create a po file and import the file to poeditor.com. So basically some sort of batch script that runs every time when file changes get pushed to the repository.

  12. Dear reader,

    I've been looking for a way to view all translations that belong to a term. Finally I found it under terms an by pressing the (T) button to see its translations.

    Some improvements that I can think of are:

    1) Make it possible to switch quickly between this view and the view where one selects the language first and then the term. So in the view language->term I can then select "view all translations of this term" and in the view term->languages I can then jump quickly to the language->term view.

    2) In the term->languages overview make it…

  13. When you select Contributers, you see:
    x total contributors|x assigned Administrators|x inactive ....

    Would be great, if the above was hyperlinks, so we easy could get to the offenders ;)

  14. In Poeditor we not only have strings that are used in our app, but also some update texts etc, that we do not use in the app interface, and so do not need to be exported to gitlab. Is there a way to filter those terms out so they are not pushed to gitlab?

  16. We'd like to be able to maintain our Translation Memories by being able to edit and delete entries.

    EDIT EXAMPLE. The following Russian translation for the English phrase "Hide Column" mistakenly includes the English phrase itself ...

    Скрыть колонку Hide Column

    ... We'd like to be able to edit the TM here to remove the English words from the end of the Russian translation.

    DELETE EXAMPLE. In our Japanese TM, we've mistakenly added the English term "Roll Angle" for Roll Angle! Consequently, we get these suggestions for "Roll Angle", the last one being the rogue English entry that we want…

  17. On the page "View or Add Terms" you can see all translations of a term, but you have to click "C" button for that. It would be really useful to have a view of all translations of all terms without clicking "C" button for each.
    For example, there could be a toggle somewhere "Expand all".

  18. Is it intentional to have 'context' as first-level keys in JSON export file?
    What's the reason for that?

    It looks a bit strange to me. I thought that 'context' is a form of a description of the term to make it easier to understand the phrases when translating.
    Why would I need context in the exported file apart from as comments?

    Here is an example of what I get:

    "Sent by the server when the invitation is accepted": {
        "notification.message_to_inviter_title": "...",
        "notification.message_to_inviter_text": "..."
    }

  19. When exporting to .resw or .resx format, the document should use UTF-8 BOM encoding and CR-LF line ends, just like in .resw files generated by Visual Studio.
    Right now I need to manually fix these issues anytime I export translations.
